Pathway C - Experience Portfolio
At Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council, we acknowledge there may be some applicants who are very experienced in the paramedic profession, yet don’t fit the criteria for Pathways A & B.
This includes the delivery or management of paramedic services, or positions in paramedic education and research.
To demonstrate your suitability for registration, you are required to submit a portfolio providing evidence of your skills, knowledge, and experience in the profession. This portfolio will be assessed by Council approved paramedic professionals.
Your portfolio should include:
A detailed practice history and complete CV that addresses any gaps in employment
Statements of service from past and current employers
Position descriptions for positions currently or previously held relevant to the delivery or management of paramedic services, or in paramedic education and research
A self-assessment against the applicable competency domains. You can download the self-assessment forms here (Clinical or Educational Research/Management )
Evidence of all professional development undertaken in the last two years
Your portfolio may also include:
Copies of any relevant qualifications (with academic transcripts) which led to employment in the delivery or management of paramedic services, or paramedic education and research
A current Authority to Practise (ATP)
Any other evidence of relevant practice, employment, or experience to support the application
Please note: Your portfolio must be submitted by email and only after you have completed your registration application.
To complete registration through Pathway C on MyPMC, you will need the following documentation:
Confirmation of ID
Ministry of Justice criminal conviction check
Certificate of completion from either:
Mauriora – Foundation Course in Cultural Competency or
LearnOnline - Foundations in Cultural Competency
